Alexandra Tolstoy and Benedict Foley are creative designers who share a passion for traditional crafts from the region that Oshana calls home.

Working together, we created three beautiful and timeless designs that incorporate motifs, colours, and techniques central to the cultural identities of Oshana’s Syrian and Palestinian refugee women artisans.

Each cushion is hand-embroidered by Oshana’s artisans using 100% natural wool, coloured with vegetable-based dyes. This collaboration celebrates the skill, rich cultural heritage, and resilience of these women, who have so beautifully brought these designs to life one stitch at a time.
