Jedda handmade crochet bag
The Jedda bag was designed in honour of our Syrian grandmothers who taught us to crochet when we were young. Spools of wool in all the colours of the rainbow transformed into patchwork blankets that we could nestle under as they told us old folk stories, bags to keep our treasures in - each crocheted with a grandmother’s love. Just as our grandmothers kept our cultural heritage alive by practising this craft, so do the Syrian refugee women that we work with - each stitch a reminder of our history and homeland.
Lined with cotton canvas. Internal zipped pocket and clasp to close
28x 28 cm
