This design is quintessentially Palestinian, or ‘felastini’ in Arabic, featuring incredibly intricate patterns in traditionally rich Palestinian hues. The Felastin cushion celebrates the beautiful and ancient cultural heritage of our Palestinian embroidery.

There were hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugee families in Syria before the war. Now many of them have been forced to flee, displaced for a second time. We support as many as we can through Oshana, offering a way to keep their incredible craft heritage alive, as well as find a dignified and decent income, and friends to support them. Meanwhile embroidery itself provides a mindful and meditative process that calms the mind and helps women who have lived through the worst to cope with anxiety and stress.
