It is inspired by ancient Arabic designs, omnipresent in the Syria of old. Through the creation of this design our artisans celebrate their wonderfully rich cultural heritage, safeguarding it for future generations.
This design has been embroidered by women who were forced to flee their homes due to the war, leaving everything behind. The women we work with now live in Lebanon, where there are no bombs, but where over 90% of refugees lack the money to buy enough food, according to the UN.
