Only 1 left in stock
sale

Joan Hecktermann x Oshana

Inspired by ancient Syrian stories, artefacts and culture, every stitch on these striking cushions is embroidered by hand using natural fibres by Syrian women who were forced to flee their homes due to the war.

This cushion provides refugee women with a dignified income, enabling them to pay for rent, food, and schooling for their children.

We named it Zenobia in homage to an ancient queen who ruled in Palmyra, in what is now eastern Syria, famed for her wisdom and tolerance. If only the world were ruled by Zenobias today!

Specifications

Choose from two sizes – a larger, statement 50x50cm, or an elegant 40x40cm.

Cotton embroidery thread on linen and cotton backing.

Can be machine washed - just cool wash on a delicates cycle.

Cushion cover only - please purchase pad separately.
